I am hitting one of those lows right now, I'm just not happy with my work in general. I love getting out and getting the shots but when I see my photographs and edit I just want to quit... If you will, take a look at my portfollio and give me some advice on where and how to improve. I love photography but right now I suck!
Edit: can't spell either!

I left a few comments. Hope I wasnt too critical. I dont know all that much so I just went with my own personal opinions. You could probably look into working on your composition and/or cropping of images.
I think you're just being hard on yourself, though. Most people, if not all, will look at their own images and think they're bad, especially when you look at other people's pics and think they're really great.
Do you dislike your shots because they're not as good as other peoples? Because you dont see improvement? Often asking yourself why you dont like a shot will lead to how to improve on it. |

I seem to have hit a point that I don't see improvment espcially in post processing. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to comment and cirtique some of my shots.

I have recently been reading this book:
Amphoto's Complete Book Of Photography: How to Improve Your Pictures With A Film Or Digital Camera
While I haven't seen the results so far in my pictures, it has helped me get thinking about composition and lighting more. The examples are excellent and really demonstrate the concepts well.
The other thing (when I went through a similar funk) I found that has helped me is just enjoying my own shots. My girlfriend asked me if I take pictures for myself or for others. Well...I know its for me. Its also nice to look back at my photos and see the improvement. Remember too, the law of diminishing returns. Your initial progress will be quick and quite noticable. As you get better, you'll find the improvements to be very subtle.
Anyways...
