Re the new rules; "Can one clone out sensor dust". in "Basic" editing.

I am sorry to ask, but I have always found it hard to read, and then work out what is actually means, so asking just to find out for sure, please.....

You may: use a cloning tool or small healing brush for the sole purpose of removing sensor dust or hot pixels. No other spot-editing is allowed.

So yes -- you may clone out sensor dust.

Can you clone out a piece of physical dust on a subject?

Thank you very much, as I thought I read that in a thread after the new rules came out.....

No - thats not sensor dust - thats real dust and isn't allowed to be cloned out. Must be a huge bit of dust to be showing up in a photo though...

They show up quite frequently in closeups.
