I've added the "My World Vision Map' to my profile here at DPC. After 307 marked visitors, it show DPC is truly an International community.
What I find interesting though is that the majority of the viewers are in the Eastern US. The Western US and Eruope seem to have similar density of viewers.
I wonder if this is a norm across the site? Why the density in the Eastern US? Perhaps it's because I post more at times when those in the Eastern US are around to check me out?
Just pondering.

Might it correlate to population density? |

Does the population density remain that high, that far from the East coast?

Hey, I'm in a great mood :) And it's so much fun to tease Leroy!
What I meant *she says with great seriousness*, we in the West have the great outdoors, the mountains, the salmon, the bears, the Pacific, the tall cedars, the beautiful high plains, it's hard to stay indoors and look at a computer screen. |

There are millions of folks down here in southern California. The always year-round warm weather is a photographers paradise.
Northern California has their millions, too, and the Seattle area has quite a bit of people. So, yes, the density can be quite large in certain pockets of the west. I can vouch for this by the prices of the houses we just sold and bought.

More ISPs in the eastern US ? I'm assuming it is working out location based on geographic registration of the IP address/ISP

Definitely. Looking at my marker here in Calgary, its located on MCleod Trail which is where our corporate firewall is located. (Strange that it didn't use the downtown office as indicated by the ARIN information)
Anyways...your explaination is probably correct. |

I dunno, I don't have any problem looking at a computer screen.
But I do agree it is fun to tease Leroy, and most everyone else for that matter. :)
