Reflections has proved a difficult challenge for many people. Yes there are some element of reflected light, but compositionally the challenge has proved too much for many.
Simply getting a reflection is not enough, the image has to be constructed to support the reflection and maybe also the original too. I'm going to go back in and comment on the worst of the entries, try to give some insight into how to recompose for greater effect. I hope you all take these comments in the spirit they are intended and don't kill me for them ;-)

I think that would have been a perfect ribbon winner for the reflections challenge. I wanted to do something like that, but I don't know any kids locally and I was too lazy to leave my warm apartment, heh. |

Don't be offended if I say I hope I don't get one of your comments. :P Btw, I think I'm going to follow in your foot steps but instead I'll be focusing on the photos I think were worst in terms of originality. |

what does it mean "dull reflection" ? what is the opposite ? :-)
recomposing and still get the reflection originally intended is not an easy task in my opinion ...

I am suprised to see so many landscape style reflection photos - many are lovely photos, but the majority of them do seem to have missed the challenge to 'creatively photograph a reflecting surface' |

So far i don't have comments from Falc or yanko. Thank God (LOL) Actually i don't have any comments at all.
But the average hasn't change a bit, since the voting started.
The screen keeps showing the same number... 5.0000
The reflection might not be dull but I guess voters didn't like my idea. |
