Neon signs : Old or new rules ? - DPChallenge Forums

Seems to be some confusion on which rules the neon challenge is running under.

The link says 'Basic IV' but links to Basic III, which has been retitled basic IV, in some places, but Basic III in other places ?

My understanding is the new rules became effective the moment they were released and all challenges now follow those rules.

"These rules (barring any obvious flaws) will be in effect, as written, for all challenges that begin between November 6th and November 29th. Should we find that these new revisions are successful, we will continue to use them into the month of December and the New Year. Should we find that the rules need further revision, we will revise them as such during the month of November and try out the new modifications during December. "

You mean challenge announced? I don't think that's relevant in this case since 'challenge due' is today, 7th. And no, technically tonights challenges were announced on Nov. 1st, since it was 12:01 :)

So the submission period started a week ago - isn't that when the challenge started then ? :) and the link on the challenge is to the old rules.

It wouldn't hardly be fair to have challenge entries for almost a whole week before rules were announced, would it?

As I said in the other thread, the rules were announced Sunday, so any submissions would be under the old rules. Tonight's NEW challenges will be with the NEW ruleset.
