Oh, and centered has been up and down, but is currently around 6.38 - still in contention for a personal best!

Thanks! yeah, I have a goal of getting all my top rateds above 6.5 and after the weeks over I should only need one more to get that. :D

What the voters like tends to change every couple months. right now its IMO in your face shots. especially very close shots of people have been doing well. also hdr images do well. not always ribbon well(although MAK did it). Also shots that look like they had a huge set up have always done well.

I'm just relieved that that image didn't count toward the WPL ... It would kill me to single-handedly cause a loss because of it ;{}

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Alice (

sfalice) e-mailed me that she is in the hospital with "severe sciatic nerve pain". She was nice enough to take the time to contact me regarding her inability to compete in WPL4.

This sort of puts the DPC in perspective and please keep Alice in your prayers. She would like to serve as a mascot and said we should recruit another member.

SO!!!!: Time to keep an eye out for people who are available and active ... and hopefuly members that get good scores and are creative. Please let me know if you know of anyone - we need someone by Jan 14th I believe - and please let them know that this will be for WPL4 only in all likelyhood since if our team stays together Alice will be back.

FYI: she e-mailed me from her friend's email address so she might not get PMs immediately I assume.

I just remembered that I (and other captains) received a PM from

xxrozxx regarding being a member of a team. She was enthusiastic and I'm not sure of she got on a team or not. Any thoughts on recruiting her or anyone else?

That's bad news! I really hope that Alice will be back soon. We should make a get well card for her, don't you think?

About founding a new member I think we should make a thread(not everybody reads this one).

P.S. Looking at the official WPL4 page I saw that there's no more Team 5D so maybe one of the guys is interested in joining a team(just a thought).

1- Alice is at the California Pacific Medical Center , Davis Campus, S.F. CA
Her full name is Alice Steele. We could send a card there I suppose.

2- Giorgio: perhaps contact previous members of Team 5D or give me names of those I should contact - knowing what you know.

3- If not, we need to establish criteria for finding a new member: e.g.: It seems like seomone that is active and creative that has an average score of ... um ... 6.5 ;] or better would be good.

If you guys can't find anyone else I would be willing to help. I was not planing on competing this time but I know this is impotant to my wife (jaded_youth) so I would help out if you need me. I am good for mid 5s to low 6s most of the time.

A while ago, I received a PM from

xxrozxx regarding her desire to be on a WPL4 team. I wasn't sure if she was still available but ... yes ... she was and she will fill in for

sfalice in WPL4. Please welcome her.

If any of the others who contacted me happen to read this please accept my thanks - I went with

xxrozxx not only because she was the first ... but because she's very enthusiastic and excited and has promised to contribute a great deal to the imagenation team! She also has some great stuff in her portfolio of course.
