If Laura can go, that means I can go, and if I can go, I need to get my sleep schedule all moved around by Sunday. LOL |

Ummm... 8am is really really early.
I'm gonna PM Achoo, see if he's still interested. But if we could make it later it'd be very nice :0)

Where are you guys talking about meeting and how far from Chandler is it?
I'm not positive if we have plans for Sunday or not. If we don't, I'm in as far as I know. |

Early is better then later at the BTA, the lizards, birds, critters, butterflies and bugs are more active and the crowds are much less. If you want to come later you can give me a call as you get there and we can all meet back up at the visitor center?
LK, want to carpool?

ok, that sounds good. I still have your cell Daryl & Tina's too. You think they'll work out there? (if not, I'll just give you an ETA- not a problem)
Samantha- e-mail around Friday ok? or call- whatever! :0)
Also I pm'd Justine to give her a heads up.

I put the invite out to my photo club and I've got another handful of people planning on coming as well. Should be a good turn out.
I also have heard back from local pro and instructor Wilson Wyatt and he should be joining us! Wilson's website: //www.wilsonwyattstudios.com/ Wilson's new business he just started up: //www.selectivefocusart.com/main.htm

Ok guys, Sunday is out. Looks like the fam already has plans. :( I love arboretums too.
BUT, if someone is up for a little jaunt to the Lost Dutchman State Park saturday around Sunset, I think I'm gonna head there. It's about 45 minutes from my in-laws. I'd be up for something better if it's close as well and gets me some great scenery.
Just PM me. I'd love to meet the AZ contingent as long as you guys aren't as weird as Steve...

Laura just e-mailed me and said her son has a fever. She might not be able to go, and if she can't go, I have no ride, unless someone else is willing to pick me up and take me with them... :( |

Yeah, Laura can't come. Any takers on taking me, if it's not too much trouble? |

Hey folks, I just logged on (been a while - work and all). I am trying to piece together if you are all meeting tomorrow (19th) where and what time. It is late and I will go through the thread again - but if someone reads this - let me know please. |

Fall color is still a week or two away from peak, but it was still a great day for a walk and shooting at the BTA. There was enough color to catch some good shots as well as plenty of hummingbirds, butterflies, other bugs, and even a baby tarantula! We may go back over thanksgiving weekend.
We also got to shoot the rare hybrid hummingbird that is living there. Apparently this is the second one like this found anywhere, ever! They believe two different hummingbirds crossbred. I couldn't get much with the 70-200mm but I hope Tina (Tfaust) or Lori (LKmote) with the 100-400 caught it. He̢۪s shy so you need good zoom and patience to catch him. Very intriguing photo subject with a blue head, white belly and orange beak!
There were four other non-DPC local shooters with us as well so we had a good sized group.
I̢۪m backed up with photos from two hikes, a weekend trip, a volunteer shoot and a paying job to go through along with these arboretum shots so I don̢۪t know when I̢۪ll be able to post anything. I̢۪ve been out shooting a lot more then I̢۪ve been sitting at the computer lately. I think I need to get sick so I̢۪m confined to the house for a day or two!
