I feel your pain...being sick is cruddy enough, but to have to take care of sick kiddos while you are sick is excruciating. I hope you are all well soon.
BTW...Children's benadryl can be a good thing.  |

Are you sure it was the flu? There's no logic to this, but I've been hearing this story for years.
The fly shot is a vaccine made of inactivated (Killed) viruses. This stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies. These antibodies will be there to fight off the live virus if ever you're exposed to it. The immune reaction can give a few symptoms, like a bit of fever and muscle pain, but logically, can't give you the flu.
I'm guessing it must not have been the fly, but rather another virus of some kind.
Can't prove it. Guess nobody can for sure. All I know is that I'm getting my shot. No way I'm gonna spend a week sick in bed. |
