Hi there,
one of my 1gig CF cards has taken a trip through the washing machine.
What should i do (if anything)
Should i let it dry out and then test it to see if it works (it was 'clean' before it went in, i.e. no images on it)
Or should i just toss it in the bin and go and buy a bigger and better one?
wasn't my fault!

| What brand is it? Many of the bigger companies will RMA it with no questions asked... I just did this with two Sandisk cards a couple months ago. |

| Try it out before you go to the trouble of replacing it. In tests, virtually all types of cards survived the "washing machine test." |

it's my last resort back up card. It's a Jessops own brand. Bought it about 3 years ago with my old camera. So it has done the rounds.
I'll give it a try...

I've done this 2 times with my "small" one gig card. I let it dry out and it still works perfectly.

It might still work after you let it dry out, but if you washed it in hot water it may have shrunk.
