Ok... I hear a lot of people here using either version of this software. Has there ever been a comparison made? If I am going to spend some cash on one of them (which I probably will) I want to make sure taht I get the best bang for the buck.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks! |

Making a comparison between them will be next to impossible. It's like comparing Canon and Nikon, and we all know how that is ;-)
Go through the forums as this has been discussed a lot. I will save you the time by telling you what you will learn at the end. Nothing. Just buy whichever one is cheaper. They're both good. |

| I use both - find Noise ninja simpler to use and less likely to over do it |

I have used both and prefer noise ninja. That's the one I purchased. You can download demos of both and try them out to see which one works best for you before you buy.

| I own a Ford Pickup truck ... you own a Chevy toy truck. It's all the same. They both work good and both manufacturers have examples to show they are better. You probably will not go wrong with either one. On this issue, price might be the deciding factor. |

| Noise Ninja. Simpler to use and does not give the "plastic" look of Neatimage. |

I have both, and comparable experience using both. Neither is 'better', but there are differences I've noticed.
Noise Ninja: my 'go-to' app. It generally works well in all situations. It's simple and easy to use. It can sample noise from multiple areas of the image to produce a single profile.
Neat Image: much harder to use, but allows more detailed profile creation. Much more complex user interface, and it takes some practice before you even know what some of the knobs mean.
It's the age-old feature/simplicity trade-off.
