This was my first (and still only) attempt from some time ago:

I like yours better though. I like how you bent the frame and gave it a 3D look. Much less "static" than mine.

I presume these tutorials are based on the full Photoshop program. Are they doable with Photoshop Elements (3)?

Technically you can do them with any imageing program--even MS paint. It would be harder and longer, sure, but it is an easy effect to achieve.

All I did was layering, masks, and some dodge/burn. I'm sure ps elements can do all that.

When I tried following the tutorial the other night, there was something that wasn't working. Now I've got it. Photoshop Elements does not have Layer Masks by default - so it's a good thing I had downloaded and installed them awhile ago with the Curves add-on.

So here's one I was playing around with...

Interesting link and fascinating examples of how it works.

Thanks for posting it. I can hardly wait to try the procedure.

How's this?

Oh, wait... mine was Basic Editing, so I guess it doesn't qualify here. :-(

Thanks so much for posting the tutorial. I've been having fun with it ever since.

I don't believe Elements can handle masks...

It does if you download the add-on from that site (It's been posted in the forums somewhere...). It goes in the effects folder.

That's a terrific "first try". This is a good technique for action photos.

You are one talented person, Serrator. Many thanks for the excellent tutorial. A few more times through it and I'll understand the "why" as well as the "how".

I'm working my way into "warp" territory...

Very cool. I'll be back with mine.
