One thing I noticed right away is you have I think a semi-colon ; instead of a colon : after http?

And, yes I think you should have posted this one. I think it's much better. It could use a little sharpening though.

| Sharpening? It looks heavily sharpened already. Sharpening ain't gonna help motion blur, which is the cause of the softness in the hummingbird. |

Actually it ain't anything to do with sharpness - look at the bird's tail: is that in or out of focus? You've missed by a fraction, that's all, the focal plane is slightly further away that the bird's head. Would have been a top shot if the focus had been that fraction of an inch nearer :-(

For the challenge, I like this one better than the one that was entered. It shows the little guy flying, drinking and placed more to the left. All three of the things that were mentioned in the comments. It is less in focus so you might have been docked for that, but not as much as it was for not being on subject.
