don't worry about it, you were mvp last week, and probably you got the highest score for the team inm the WPL, you deserve a break:P
as i said before , we achieved one win, in WPL4 that's a start, now we have to work to get to play offs in wpl5:)
our wpl average, was decent in my opinion it's somwehre in the 5.6 so that's pretty good, hopefully we'll do better in the ocming wpl :)

That damn Poker and gin... My red is at 4.9. My furniture will probably be my counted photo. (6.2 with fingers crossed) I entered at the deadline. so close that I tried to change the title and was denied. It's all good....Go Team D50!

Just wondering...would anyone be interested in doing some team building exercises? I just feel like we hardly know eachother. I was just thinking some silly surveys or something.. |

i am scoring very bad in 2 challenges, and 3 or 4 of our team could not make it ,:( bummer

Ok...here's some questions. Hopefully I'm not the only one to answer them! ;o) Just thought it would help us get to know one another a little better. You know, team-building and all that. Anyway...just copy and change the answers to your own. :o)

Just wondering...is it a filter you use when shooting? A lens? |
|
|
03/07/2007 04:44:55 PM · #523 |
i use a hoya r72 filter,
you can use it with any lens as long as it works well with infra red! lucky for me my quantaray (althought very bad quality lens) it works well with infra red. i did not know that until after i bought it, call it luck!
anyway the filter allows only light above 720nm wavelength to pass( near infra red) the nikon D series sensor can get that wavelength, and hence they usually give great infra red shots.
now the problem with that photography is the following,
your camera comes equiped with a filter that blocks most of the infra red light, which means, in order to compensate for that you have to have long exposure times, high iso, shallow dof etc... , unless you remove the filter and use your camera solely for infra red photography(i am assuming you don't:)).
so since high iso means a lot of noise, and shallow dof are usually not an option => long exposure times=> you need a tripod usually or something that holds your camera very still. AND OF COURSE A LOT OF SUNLIGHT.
last thing , is that you can't see anything in the viewfinder after you put the filter, so the way to do it , select the scene you want to take a picture of, set up everything as if you are not taking infra red. autofocus, then put the filter on , set your camera to manual focus and then take the shot et voila!
now of course there is the white balance issue, i shoot in raw and try to fix that in either a raw editor or in photoshop. other wise you have to set up the white balance manually through the camera by taking a custom shot of green grass or antyhing green.
hope that was helpfull, judy has a verey good tutorial about it, and you are more than welcome to ask :)
now for processing steps, (fun part) i 'll leave it to you guys to figure it out , of course if you have questions you can let me know :)\
cheers,
|
