lol.
of course i'm joking... not about silver being extremely good but about the rest of it.
i use phrases like "it's the man trying to keep us down" when the toilet backs up or the wind's blowing too hard. if i had really felt that something was unfare about the circumstances surrounding the DQ, i would ave stated my case a lot more elouquently and without the use of slang terms.
i will very rarely make a serious comment unless i am commenting on someone's work. i can't help it. i'm an incurable smart ass. |

That's what the world needs more of...incurable smart asses...then perhaps there would be less trouble. And, the man is trying to keep us down, he is always watching, so be careful out there. |

Nobody likes a smart ass, but incurable smart asses - that's all we've got to beat the man.

I think Silverfoxx will be returning after the DQ, so there's only a temporary space. I think T-Minus has a space in it though, so you could join into that team maybe?
At some point people will come along who know about These Things. |

Kelly, it is nice that you show a interest in joining, but there is not a spot open. Svetlana is temporally down but far from out of dp challenges. Because of a minor mistake, but a rules violation all the same (incorrect date stamp) she is penalized and not able to post to official challenges for the next 3 weeks. She is still very much not only on the team, but the captain . But keep checking back there might be a opening, heck they might boot me with my 4.something scores :o.

Ah okay - I think I got very confused as to who was having a penalty and for what reason and how long. Thanks for explaining. :-)
I was confused because of tired and I think also that made me have a bit of not so great judgement as to thinking I could overcome some physical limitations to make sure I enterd challenges reliably - so I won't be following up on the T-Minus idea but thank you just the same. |

If you change your mind about joining team suck, just pop back in and ask about openings. Or just drop by and say hi. |

Is it possible to start another team for the new people that want to get on? |

I'd rather see the two teams with only 5 members get a 6th before we creatre another whole new team.
Not so much for competition reasons as simply qualifying, since we need 3 people entering each week.

Yeah. It would seem to make sense to get the existing teams filled out a bit. |

Anyone else in dirt? I just went out on a street shoot yesterday (my favorite type) and had a great time. Plus, I was able to enter something almost straight from camera, which I love. |

I am also a memeber of Team D50 in the WPL. By the way, we're not doing well. We had this thing where someone would volunteer an original image and the others would try different processing. Would anyone be interested in that. I have a few outtakes from my disastrous Free Study shot here if anyone is interested. Actually, it was kind of fun. |

Bob - do YOU like your processing? If so, then don't sweat the score. :)
DPC scores are about appealing to the most people with a single set of choices. While some deride that as "mass appeal," I think it's a reasonable goal. However, nothing says those are the only valid choices.

I think no one better exemplifies Team Suck than klstover. She dares to experiment with challenge entries, she tries new things to add to her artistic arsenal, she enters without using focus groups to get a sense of what her score would be. She is the ideal toward which we reach.
Kelly,
As was said, Team Minus needs a sixth member, and we'd be honored to have you. But I'm also open to the idea of a new team, especially now that Kronus has awakened. I think you would be perfect to start a new team. You have been writing some manifesto-like stuff lately. Some team names that I think of just from looking at your profile page:
Team Path
Team Envelope
The OOBers
If you started a thread asking for members, I think you'd have a team in no time.
Team Suck,
As to the issue of teams not qualifying for challenges: Well, every Team but Team Minus has six members, so if a team has non-participating members, it should set them free.
If there is popular demand for it, I would also be open to allowing 7 players, but I want new people to be able to choose which (non-maxed-out) team they are joining. In other words, I want a spirit of welcome at Team Suck. There is always room at our Inn!

Yes I do like my processing. It's a lot of fun and different. It's just that most of DPC doesn't like it. I just called it disastrous because that's what the score reflected. The reason I suggested other people trying post processing on your picture is that it gives you the opportunity to see what other possibilities exist for a particular shot. |

I'm in Dirt. It's remarkably unspectacular and not even out of the box. I predict a 5.1123. And quite possibly zero comments. Don will give it a 5, or perhaps a 4.
