Obviously a tiger. What most probably dont know is that this shot was taken at 125mm and had no crop. I am not sure how much more macro you can get on a cat like this and I was hoping his stripe pattern would have pulled it along in the abstract arena. |

The tiny little pins that you connect up the wires and stuff that goes to the switches and lights on a computer.
Judging by the number of votes I got under 4, I guess some people felt that this wasn't "abstract" enough.

It didn't meet the standards of most voters, but I rather liked the glitter of the glass bottle and the color play.
There were so many other awesome photos! |

Mine was a bit of a joke, but started out in a different way. The original idea was discarded because I did not think it was hard enough to see it, and not close enough.
How many did NOT see the special arrangement of the keys, and the meaning of them? Title might have been too revealing though ...
Feel free to use this thumb in the future ...

The inner spiral from a nautilus shell. Not many people liked the shallow DOF I used, but hey - can't win em all ;-)

I didn't enter it because I thought it wouldn't do very well, but would have liked to have used the quote for the title. |

The domed lid of my electric BBQ, sprayed with water and then colours adjusted. Edited to say the section on the left is the thermometer part of the BBQ.

Mine is a candle holder from Greece. My best friend got it for us for one of our wedding gifts. I'll have to post a pic of the entire thing. It's pretty cool. ;)

"Jewel Colors of my Earth", is actually a macro close-up, of some large garden edge rocks, that have been weathered, that have chips of exposed colored rocks below their surface. I loved the richness and textures, that I found when processing this image. There is just so much to look and find within this image, and I was proud of how it turned out.
