i am in and promise to try to enter more voter friendly shots. i wish santa would bring me a 5d but i think i will have to just keep shooting with my 10d....

nah, I would rather know that you are shooting what you like and enjoying your entries rather than trying to make the fickle masses of dpc happy. that, my friend, is sure to drive you to hate photography, use your camera as a paperweight and pretend that PS means postscript . . .

Now, if you can shoot what you like and still be dpc friendly, more power to you, but if you must sacrifice one, sacrifice the score. Winning is cool, but I think having fun trumps that!

Probably the most sensible statement I've read for a long time!! Here, have an extra 0.5 added to your average ascore ;)

i got this from asmp. not sure if any of you ladies are on cs2 but here is a free temp upgrade to test. karma you might post it if you think the overall dpc would benfit

Tomorrow, December 15, Adobe Systems will offer a beta release of Photoshop CS3. This is the long-awaited version that runs natively on the new Intel Macs. Microsoft Windows users are not left out; this version runs on the brand-new Vista operating system, as well as on XP. And, of course, it has lots of cool new features.

The beta is a free download, but it will expire soon after the final version goes on sale â��in spring 2007.â�� The download URL will go live sometime on the morning (California time) on Friday, December 15. That URL will be //labs.adobe.com/technologies/photoshopcs3/.

Notes:

Adobe tells us that the beta has all the features that are going to be in the final product, but it has not been fully tested and it may have nasty bugs. So donâ��t use it for critical jobs.

The beta will work for 2 days without a serial number. To get a serial number, you will need to give Adobe a valid serial number for Photoshop CS2 or one of the combo products (Creative Suite, Video Bundle, Web Bundle) that includes Photoshop CS2.

thanks Jude, I'll certainly check out the CS3 tomorrow. When I attended Bert Monroy's seminar back in September he told those of us present that he was working with CS4...not a typo...CS4(four)! That CS3 was ready to go.

Karmat: you dear SC bot you :-) that's what I meant..if you online folks in this team aren't real folks, as expression goes, then I'm a monkey's uncle :-)

does someone of us need to be second in command and sign us up for wpl4? was everyone still game? i am in and hope to continue to improve. i am not the greatest on the forums (still cant get the quoting and including thumbnails figured out)....

Scott is aware that Talj is in Hospital, full WPLIV details will be posted sometime this week, signup will probably be 1st Jan and if Talj isn't back by then I guess you guys need a plan b lol (seriously, don't worry). Might need a second in command to take over recruitment if your not all in.

Hey, you know talj, nobody can 'tell' her to do anything lol. Whenever we GTG T always sends me a detailed itinerary, the fool has tasked me with putting one together for Norway2008, so far it reads like this...

Leave house with camera
Pick T up
Ferry (Newcastle - Bergen)
Drive to Narvik (taking many pics)
Come home (remembering to drop T off)

For a guy I think thats pretty darn good lol

4. Think I'll not enter many, if any challenges until WPL4...(conserve energy and skunks!!!! lol..and yep jude...it STANK..why ya think focus fades?was horrid being close enough with that 17/40 (only lens in car)!!!
