I am in till the end. I am not really helping the team, but I am trying. My Bond idea required a model, who backed out 2 hours before the deadline, but I was still able to make an entry.
I have an idea for the life/death challenge, and will try to get it, if the weather cooperates. (We are recovering from a Tornado. This is the 1st day we have had any power.)
I hope to compete in WPL4 if a team will have me.

I am also willing to try to keep this team going for the next WPL if we can replace the people who leave.

I hope you can continue. I mean it. For what it's worth, I am not joining any other team, I'm simply too tired. |

As ursula said.. I cannot help the team with entries, but OF CAUSE spiritually im behind you guys man... NO We cannot advance to the next round mathematically impossible.. and to be honest by the scores Ive seen i dont think we gonna beat those guys this week BUT!!!! I hope and PRAY with all my heart that you guys can BEAT BLOODY CANON.
Also BUGSEYE, I think YOU have what it takes to be team CAPTAIN you have a strong heart...so.... well I may be quiting this team but I also feel by doing so I made it a stronger force, with more passion and drive to WIN!
I Might make a new team I might join a team I might just sit it out, my wife is due back and i just moved house and a rack of other stuff going on... NEVER think I'm forgetting about you guys, you say I built this team... I think WE built it and I'de like to see it grow into a force.
if I was able to enter I'DE BE IN TILL WE SINK!!! I entered all challenges for the team..
Anyway, no hard feelings please understand. |

Bloody hell, this is like an argument down the pub, but without the beer.....or the 'kiss and make-up' kebab at the end of the night!
Two phrases spring to mind:
'I play the game, I don't make the rules' and 'I'm a lover, not a fighter'
I havn't been the most useful team member. I haven't entered all the challenges becasue like everyone else my days a mostly spent thinking about photohraphy punctuated with that annoying day job I've go to do, and when I have ented they mostly scored badly, but it's been fun. I'll stick it to the end and if I'm still wanted, I'll take part in WPL4, with this team (hoping we're mostly still about).
Peace out and rock on!

I guess I'm still trying too hard. Bond is at a 4.8, but it still is early. I'm in till the end, then will re-evealuate. I
m going to be shooting more sports for a local college, so not sure how much time I will have.

thankyou ursula for the comment on my light on white II
i was a bit surprised that it ended up lower than 6 as well
..sigh.. ( well I liked it .. & i'm the one it has to satisfy ...)
Bond is now 5.3768 - not that i expect it to hit my avg .. but technically it is a good pic ... |

My diagonals is still doing very well, a bit to my surprise :) It might ribbon.
I have no entry for Bond.
I have an entry for the open challenges this week, and it will do well enough I guess, at least not tank.
Is this the last week then? Or do we also have to enter something to "Dirt" and whatever open challenges come up tomorrow?

My diag shot is tanking big time. my free study started out really good. had almost 30 votes and the score was 6.4 now it is 5.5 :(
Just subimitted my death entry.. I also submitted the original along with all the pp steps because I got a feeling this one will get flagged,
Anyone else ever presubmit an orig? how long does it take to get validated ? or do they just keep it on hand until someone flags the image during voting? Ursula, You probably know the answer to this? |

Diagonal: 5.3240
JB: 4.9083 (It started rising a little today.)
I really need stobes. The 2 flash units I have do not produce enough light to get 'really white' backgrounds.
My "DEATH" entry will now have to be a rushed photo also. It was illegal to try to get the picture I really wanted. I will explain later.
This was a really bad few weeks for me, and the tornado didn't help at all.

I ust caught the whole tornado thing. Are you and your family OK. If there is anything you need let me know, i might be able to try and help. I used to live in Colorado and know just how devastating those things can be.

No. We are fine. Thank you very much. Here is a map of the path of the tornado. I put an X where my house is. It missed us completely, but was very close. I wish I had thought to grab my camera, but I was amazed at what I saw out my window, that I couln't look away.
This wasn't like a 'midwestern US' tornado at all, I think they said it was a f2 or something like that. But we live in Pennsylvania, and that would be comparable to Florida getting 6 inches of snow.
On second thought, do you have an extra BWM?

I have (pre-submitted).
I think maybe the language of the pre-submission form is a bit confusing at the moment. We are working on clarifying it. As it is, when you pre-submit, you don't get pre-validated. The submitted proof remains on file in case a question comes up, then it goes into the validation process. It speeds up the validation process. We are working on other validation requests and needs. Lots of stuff to work on. |

Wow, I'm glad you and your family are OK. I read you saying that you had been in a tornado, but until you posted the map I didn't put 2 and 2 together. |

The best way is to send a ticket via the Contact page (From "Help", click on "Contact Us", in Regarding pick the second choice, "DPChallenge - General Inquiry", type your question in the "Message" field, attach file if needed, and click on "Submit").
You can also ask it as a general question in the forums.
What are you concerned about? |

nothing really other than some people might think i did some cut and paste because my subject is rather unique.
i asked because i did do alot of processing on this photo and am not 100% sure i stayed inside the rules. 99% yes 100% no.
I was looking for clarification. but i am not too worried because I believe i stayed in bounds.
