No, as far as I know it isn't. Just the two weekly open challenges and the one weekly members challenge. |

Dito to what Ursula said. Only the Member Challenge and either of the Open challenges count in the WPL.
Hey my score is climbing like Gas Prices. Sweet. 5.5455

My scores are pretty much ok cos only 1 will count for the team
reflection - 4.4444 great
long exposure - 5.9492
self portrait (nonWPL) - 6.1616
Im hoping long exposure will hit the 6 mark too its been crawling upward of late so....
And finally, apologies for the 4.4444 but you get the good the bad and the ugly shots from outta my bag.. Wait till you see my B&W .. for a joke I told Larus I would finish higher than him in that challenge, but I only did it to boost him up cos he never won a ribbon in B&W and I know he wants one.

Now why did you have to go do that? For crying out loud, the last thing we need is Larus getting ANOTHER ribbon. :) |

So the D200 has a B/W mode? Out of curiosity, my old Olympus had a B/W mode but it saved the images at a lower resolution than colour images, so it was better to make them in colour and convert afterwards. How is that with the D200?

unless one of the others knows for fact, You'll have to wait til later tonight for an answer I am on my way back out the door right now and wont be able to upload the photos I took this afternoon til I get back home. I switched modes each time and took the photos in color as well so I will be ok either or. But I will let you know.

nice thing about the B&W mode (in RAW) is you don't have to stay in that mode - you can switch back to color .. :)
(it changes the curves so it is a better than just desat.... )

I'd never thought of that. Wow. That's cool. So you're not actually shooting B/W, just seeing it B/W on your little picture. |

In RAW mode yeh .. I think if you shoot JPG then you're stuck with B&W.
My headwear shot is KILLER! my B&W needs more meditation, after all, I gotta push our mate Larus this week.. we have to play them after B&W... yohohoho there is a madness to my plan

Allright! I hope it doesn't include the pink glasses and the tough grin though - takes away too much attention from the headwear ;-)
Who are we playing next week?

I'm still doing good with reflections - not quite ribbon material, but close. Should help beating the Llamas. Wonder how they're doing?

Exposure is in the 6s at last however the reflection is a lead brick and just sitting mid 4s my lowest score since getting my D200 I wanna cry. yes i feel with 4 of us around the 6 mark we have the Llamas pipped next week is a holiday, its only the untoughballs so we dont have to break a sweat for that.

my exposure shot is stable at 4.1 I think thats about the best it is going to get. my reflection shot is still on the climb up.
Would be happy if it doesnt drop any but would prefer a 5.8 or higher.

My long exposure shot is steady at a 5.3 and my reflection shot is steady at 5.65. Hopefully they will both go up.

Mine's gone up overnight, yeah! I hate to say the score though, because then DrAchoo will see it and I'm trying to keep him hanging (so he doesn't find out how much I'm beating him by). :)))))

OMG!!! Im not gonna get too excited about my B&W shot but I stumbbled on it totally by accident while going for a little healthy walk ironically enough after shooting some shots I was gonna use for this very challenge. I will be shooting Headwear also for the next battle. |

Rainy day black and whites are good.
We're supposed to get rain (mixed with a bit of snow and other little triangular things) for the next 5 months or so.
But how to make a good headwear image. Gotta think about that.
