I'd like to thank everyone for their appreciation of my "At Rest" photo. Even though I didn't score as high as I would have liked, with comments like the ones I received, and the number of 10's I was honored by, I guess I really have nothing to complain about. I took a lot of photos of people and pets sleeping but none of them had the feeling of calm that my kayaking photo did. I'm glad that others saw what I was going for in the photo. It was such a beautiful peaceful scene. It gets frustrating when people tell me that it's out of focus. Of course it's intentional soft focus! It's the "At Rest" challenge! I thought it would be very appropriate.

Anyway, I'm becoming increasingly baffled by the voting results here on DPC and I've given up all hopes of ever winning a ribbon, but those people who appreciated my photo and saw what I was trying to achieve with it are the people that keep me submitting to the challenges. Thanks again. Of course, I'm not saying that this photo was by any means the greatest thing ever. I'm still happily open to feedback on how to improve any and all of my work.
