Hi All

I have some of the above I have used USM to increase the edge detail and make the lettering in them clearer but when I resize them (using PSP8) for uploading to my portfolio the lettering becomes unreadable.

Has anyone post processed stained glass images where there is some lettering in the glass and still maintained its readability following downsizing?

I would welcome some guidance on this one.

TIA

Could you post some examples? Might help to see what exactly is happening. I haven't shot stained glass, so if the problem really turns out to be specific to that, I may not have any usefull suggestions.

Hi Scott

Hmmmmm!!!!

The original file size is 1.84MB so what I think I will have to do prepare some cropped sections to illustrate the issue.

Have to be later in the week to create the smaller files etc.

Thanks for your input and offer of help.

If you know you will be resizing the image, don't use usm until after you have resized it. This should be the last thing you do before you save the image. I don't use usm a lot so I might be wrong.
There is an excellent tutorial on usm on this site in the "Learn" section.
