I was thinking at the end of this it would be awesome if we could get a composite of ALL of us who participated together in one shot.

Apologies, folks. I haven't done a shot since my last posted one, so I'm woefully behind. Pretty sure I won't hit 30 by the last day, but I'll try to do at least a few more. I haven't commented on anyone's shots since my last posted entry either, and I *will* eventually get to that.
Got one batch of movers coming this week - stuff that's going into storage - then another batch at the start of next week - stuff that's going overseas. So I've not got a lot of time on my hands to get to either shooting or commenting. Your patience is most appreciated!
I have had a chance to flip quickly through the thread - really good stuff as usual! Love the collaboration idea between Dylan and Crystal - quite creative!
And one more time - this has been a complete blast. Not sure I learned as much as some folks did, but I've really enjoyed the comraderie, the sharing of ideas and techniques, and just the sharing of "selves" that this project provided. Y'all did great!! :-) |

I love the idea... but who's gonna do the edit? hehe. I could do it, but I just haven't go the 'skilz' that some of you guys have. However, I'll put my hand up, so if anyone would like to send an image (simple background preferably) using your favourite pose (or a pose that represents your images for the challenge), I'm happy to give it a bash.
*note* I'm only holiday all this week :), so I'd have to do it on the weekend. If a few are interested, I'll post my email in my profile, PM me to let me know.
PS. I shall try to post my final image tonight... but I'm not sure it will happen. |

Boys, girls, faeries, creatures of the night, ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to thank you all for your participation in what has been one of the greatest photographic and personal explorations in my life to date. I'm signing off here and going on holiday (literally). See you in a week. I'll comment on all the images when I get back.

Hi all.... I have been feeling better panic-wise but am still going to be taking things easy for a while.
The main thing I want to say is thank you all SO MUCH for the messages - they really brightened my days. |

I actually just uploaded some new shots but I haven't numbered, titled, or written about them yet.
edit: Maybe I'll leave them that way, since they're from the same photoshoot/day. They are here.

I know what you mean - got three daughter's myself (11, 8, & 5 yrs.) don't know if ya listen to country but, there is a song recently released called "I Loved Her First", about a father at his daughter's wedding.
Well, I recently photo'd my step-brother's wedding, & his new bride danced with HER father to that song... I 'bout LOST it & barely got the shots off, because my own girls were standing around me in a big 'group hug'.
On a side note: An old retired Army man once asked if I 'dated' my daughters - yep, I thought he was crazy! But he explained that if you teach them how a man SHOULD treat a woman (respect, affection, spend time with her, etc.), then she will grow up to expect no less from their suitor.....
Makes alot of sense to me.
(Sheesh, gettin soft in my old age!) |

Thanks. *sniff sniff* And I know all about the "dating your daughter" thing. She hasn't wanted to before, but she is starting to want to do things with me now and I'm happy as hell. I'm her stepfather, and even though I've been her dad since she was 1, there was always a rift between us. But, since she moved back last month, things have been outstanding between us and I couldn't be happier.

Day 28 - Kilroy was here
Dual Core/Dual Processor IA64 with a Mylex Raid controller giving me fits (the raid controller that is). Camera sitting in rack behind the server, shot out and over.
Minimal post p, I did try to fix the blinding light on my freshly skinned grape... :)

Day 30. Finale.
I can't say thank you enough to all of the support I've gotten during this 30-day challenge, all that I have learned and all I that have shared. This experience has been priceless and all of you will hold a place in my heart forever. *hugs & kisses to all*
