Hi everyone..I am basically new here but I already have a gripe!
When I read the challenge name, for example, 'flight'...a million and one ideas pop into my mind. I am not sure if it is my fault for not reading the details; however, after submitting something I feel fits the challenge,I can see how my image would be literally considered off topic.
Ok, I'm trying to clarify : )
...if my image happens to scream 'flight' to me..but the subject is not off of the ground..am I failing to meet the challenge?
My thoughts seem to be as scattered as my desk right now..I certainly hope somebody understands what I'm talking about!
Oh yes, I am addicted to this site..so happy to have found my way here. |

Challenge Details: Photograph something in flight, either man-made or natural.
According to the challenge details I would say you would be crucified for your subject not being in flight :)
Just my $0.02 worth.

if it means flight to you then forget what anyone else will think. don't second guess yourself. with so many critics in DPC, there is always going to be someone who feels like your pick may not fit the category. who cares, go with it. |

Wait until I show you what my original (now alternate) entry was.
If YOU like it and want feedback, then please submit it. If you want the highest possible mean (average) vote, you should probably submit something not resting on the ground. |

Just put on your thick skin Sunday evening, and prepare for the "doesn't meet the challenge" comments. :) |

Since the description of the challenge contains a prepositional phrase ("in flight") with an unclear target, the subject doesn't necessarily have to be in flight. You could photograph something while you are in flight, and still meet the challenge's requirement literally. Everything's open to interpretation; it's just a matter of whether you play for the score or for the fun of it.

Stand tough... You'll be hung out to dry by a few folks, but some will get and appreciate an artistic twist :)

It's not too late to take another photo! You can still submit something IN FLIGHT and resubmit.
