If there are actually so-called "trolls", wouldn't SC get them at some point for voting so many ones? What I think is happening is that there is a handful of voters here who get a kick out of handing out ones. They know it gets a rise out of people after rollover. Later, they change their vote to something more typical. |

Ya, that's a possibility too. But there are plenty of people who's average score is below a 4. If they are the first through and honesty rank the photos on a 1-4 score you are going to get averages like this to start with.
Geometry seems to be getting hammered too, so maybe it's a group of 5 or so people having a bit of fun at our expense. |

Well, it's always fun to see people getting upset with low scores or happy with high one after just 10 votes or something.
One the other hand, it's always good to be excited, after being way to lazy entering challenges here I know for sure that I am.
Edit: Ohh my God, I knew that I shouldn't have posted this, the trolls went right to my image and killed it!

The first couple of dozen or so votes are usually very unstable. Historically (for me at least) my average doesn't start to stabilize until around 150 votes or more. So hopefully, we'll have many more voters than challenge participants!

Well I agree about the dozen votes but I have yet to see a challenge where my score went up significantly in the end. I have had some entries where my score dropped significantly after a great start but never the opposite so I don't hold much hope of recovery at this point. To add insult to injury I only shot mine because I needed an entry this week for my WPL team not that this is going to help them any. :(

I will never, NEVER, never learn, will I? Not that I have been here for that long, but I have told myself NOT to submit anything less than magnificient again. But I just did, wanted to remove it but was too late for the deadline, and NOW I suffer. I thought it was alright, maybe mid field or so, until I got just one comment.
So my guess is I will get one of the lowest ten scores on this, possibly a personal (low) record ... so much for not having submitted much recently, being eager to get going again! DON'T!

I've been and done my voting. There are a few I don't really understand the connection to chemistry, but not all that many worth a low score. ;-)
