I assume that it is OK to use some product in its branded package as a compositional element because the rules didn't seem to prohibit it, but I want to verify it rather than risking a DQ (a disqualification, not the brand of the restaurant. ) Thanks in advance.

If the rules don't prohibit it, and you feel that you can otherwise get away with stealing a company's copyrighted "brand" name for your own personal gain here in the challenges, I would say: Go for it! :)
Haha, seriously, I don't think that's grounds for a DQ and I doubt anyone would even request it in the first place. |

You should get paid for advertising their brand!

Unless you have a photo of a Big Mac with McDonald's wrapping, a big logo, and title it: 'Really unhealthy food made from diseased cows which will give you cancer'.
Then I think someone is in trouble... |
