Nothing cordless, huh? Does the corded one allow you to do the "half-press" to activate focusing, or not? Can you use it to shoot multiple frames?
My Rebel remote is wireless, but sort of a one shot thing as far as I can tell, and won't do the focus bit except inadvertantly if you forget to reset the lens from AF to MF. |

We've got the RS-60E3 remote for our 300D and 350D which does let you do the half press....but the cable is like 2 feet long which is next to useless sometimes. I need to find an extension or make one maybe?

| The one cindi and I have can do AF with a half press and can lock to continue to take pics untill the buffer is full. It can also do bulb mode. The cord is a bit short but the cheapest extention I have found is like 75 bucks. The cable for the rebels is different and an extention can be had for pretty cheap. |

| If y'all (Texas term) are doing SPs using corded remotes, where are the cords? |

Use your universal remote for your camera
If that one doesn't work
Not sure if it will autofocus, but you can snap the shot.

Lock the remote in the open position, then camera goes 'click click click click' until the card fills up or you unlock the remote. That way you don't have to hold the remote in your hand while you shoot. Takes a little practice, but works great.

Or you can take your chances?
Ebay
Wanted to add I bought this one:Here
This is the second time I have bought from them on Ebay. First time was a wired remote for the Rebel. And they both work great.
He also sells a longer version here: 10M
Which after looking I may sell the short one I got from him and buy this longer version.
Of course I am after this:B & H

Day 10. Inspired by Judi's awesome digital art and SJCarter's very cool self port today that had a religious feel to it to me.
*WARNING* I do NOT have a beautiful slim body like most of the women in this self portrait challenge. I'm a chunky gal and this pic does not flatter me.
you've been warned.

Pa-lease... Kate Moss and her kind are over-rated except as a twigs... Be more daring. Change the world's views! ;)
I think too many women worry about being "perfect", I ran across this (Nudity on site, but not on this page) woman who is a model. I respect her mindset and healthy self-image. Not all the work in her portfolio is good, but she's pretty damn bold. |

well, posting this was daring for me. not only does it not make me look thinner but my heads further away from the camera than my feet so it makes me look like a have an even bigger tush than i even do. it's anti-flattering. lol. and i used it anyway. might have been a bad move. but it's bold . for me at least. |

Crystal, it's a great photo and you look good in it.
The rest of this is just my general opinion:
Why is it that women always want to be skinnier, bigger boobs, nicer butt no matter how much we tell them they look good?

You got me. Crystal stopped listening to me years ago:) but then again I am bad about putting my self down. then reason I have tried to make funny or wierd SPs is to draw attention away from me. Hell I haven't even worn my glasses for most of them. |

Because the magazines (who's job is to sell stuff) tell them that they need those things to look good? |

sometimes like for me. the womens been told for thier entire lives by someone(usually an important male figure, such as my dad in my case) that they are gross, and will never be loved and possibly had food locked away from them just to make them feel about as dumb and ugly as possible(yes, i have). a few nice words from any man cant erase years and years of ridcule. sad, but true. Also charts that show whats an "optimal" size. as soon as your over that perfect weight for your height(and im waaay over it) you feel like a freak of nature. |

don't worry baby you have at least 50 years left of me telling you you are beautiful. I will win eventually:) And yes I do mean 50 years so no bright ideas about the life insurance policy! |

Elvis, you're a gem - you take good care of that lovely lady!
And I overheard at an early age "Hope she has brains, because she sure ain't gettin' nowhere on her looks." Sad, but true - those who look good simply get further than those who don't in a lot of respects. Of course, what determines "looks good" varies considerably, which is nice! |
