You mean this one? I discovered that it was really a garden spider, not a wolf. But it looks wolfish to ME!

There's some wonderful shots here, though :D

Both these spiders had little orange parasites on them. Spiders get lice!

House centipede.. it's those bugs that you see that look like a shadow moving swiftly across the floor. They're creepy.

I'm with you! These are very, very cool shots.

And GeneralE, I think yours are terrific. Way to explore your world using a camera! That's exactly the kind of thing I think this site is about: take your camera with you and try to notice what doesn't get noticed.

Excellent. Yuck. I'm digging this.

Any Entymologists out there? I'm wondering about the Daddy Long Legses. Which here are the spiders and which are Harvesters (insects)?

I'm thinking this is a Harvester.

Harvesters are not insects. They and Daddy Long Legs are arachnids.

This site might help you ID.

Cool shot, BTW!

"Although they resemble spiders, daddy long-legs, more correctly called harvestmen, are neither spiders nor insects. Taxonomically, they are arthropods, in the same class as spiders, Arachnida, but in a different order, Phalangida. Anatomically daddy long-legs differ from spiders because their three body segments -- head, thorax and abdomen, are joined as one compact body segment. Spiders have two body segments -- the head and thorax are joined as the cephalothorax, and the abdomen is the second body segment. Insects, which are taxonomically in the class Insecta, have three distinct body segments."
