The more professional the photographer, the sharper the photos. Right? Wrong! This is the very aspect that separates amateurs from professional photographers. As a rule, the former want everything in their pictures to be as sharply defined as possible, whereas professionals often uses sharpness in certain areas, thereby giving them more emphasis.

That's one of the most helpful links I've seen for a long time. Thanks! :)

Now I'm gonna start experimenting with which parts are best to sharpen.
