I think it's relevant. The post that comment was referring to seems to be sarcastic, but I think the expression means that you can control something to a point, but past that point you're just damaging your ass... i mean the forums.

There wasn't anything sexual in those posts. Nudity was discussed, but it was not at all sexual.

why not make a chat room then, or make your dpc alternative, but poluting the forums with blaber about inapropriate off topic stuff, is just not right. People join to learn about photography, its ok to have fun, but to abuse your fun is a different story.

But here is the problem - what some people consider "abuse" is simply fun and banter to others.

I have seen plenty of threads I didn't like for some reason or other, but that doesn't mean those people and their opinions should be censored and silenced.

There's always the DPC fanatics chat room... although the one time I went in there, I had like a 30 second lag every time I tried to enter a message, so I never bothered after that.

I find myself on thin ice taking any position in this thread since I am guilty of hijacking threads and participating in some sexually oriented posts (albeit with woodies or duckies or both).

I can relate to both sides of this issue though. I feel a one or two post hijack, then get back on topic is tolerable. I also feel the accused have been pretty good at taking their antics to their own threads and in the cases where threads have become annoying or intolerable to me, I just ignore them, but must admit that too much of that stuff really degrades the pleasure of visiting the site.

My sincere apologies if my thread hijacking has been out of line.
