I was just poking through my challenge entries and realized they're almost all either B&W or dominated by a single color. That wasn't conscious, but it definitely seems like a pattern.

Anybody else notice a pattern like that in their or others' work?

I think its usual.

My top scoring shots are all landscapes in evening light (sunsets). I'm a bit disapointed with myself that I only seem to do well when God lays it all on for me. I have a shot that is currently being voted on that I hope will buck the trend.

I think there is a world of a difference between my 'style' which is essentailly about my limitations; and some others styles that are essentially about their strengths. Take Bear_Music or graphicfunk as examples - they do what they do because they have explored the lot and identified where there natural strengths lie.

I don't see any definite type of pattern in my photos, other than they're mostly a bit off kilter (mentally)

Yeah my style is 'out of focus' or 'too blurry'. I've got a load of comments confirming it.

i think my style is whatever I am chewing on at the moment. right now it is high mountain country photography and studio stuff. But most importantly, as taboo as it is to say, I always strive to have my images be enjoyed by the broadest range of people possible. I am a "popular" junkie, meaning I want mainstream enjoyable stuff. That is "art".

I'm going to have to recant on this. You ever sit there and wonder why you have never taken a particular photo...the whole "Why have I never done this?" syndrome. I'm the reason why...once you see mine, you realize why it hasn't and shouldn't ever be done again.

I guess I'm into darkness.

Here are my top scoring photos (actually, #'2 - 6:

My top-scoring photo

is from the Shadow competition, so instead of a black background, I have a black subject.

I know I've had tendancies to want to do high contrast shots, but it seems I can't do them well enough yet.
