For those of you who said "WTF" when they looked at my picture I wanted to post something redmoon said that sums it up.

"the way the trolley glows with a yellow halo makes it seem, well, almost holy in a biblical manner. i can hear choirs of angels going 'laaa!'."

When I saw the grocery cart in the parkinglot of my apt building I knew what I had to do. I parked it and then laughed all week at the comments I got, heh.

Oooooooooh, well then. Lemme give you the attention you need.

I didn't vote on this challenge, but I did read your post. I like the sureal aspect to it, but I's crop out the 2 vehicals. If the parking lot were full I'd leave the, but they seem to compete with the cart.

Very cute. And sorry about your Cherrios. :(

I had roughly 20 versions of this shot. It came down to this one and basically the same shot with no vehicles. I debated.. cars won, because without them it's not quite as obvious that it was a parkinglot and I think it made it seem more average.. then the person goes "hey wait.. that's a shopping cart! Ahhh hahahahaha."

I love the picture, but I'm still waiting to hear how you got that halo in basic editing! (be careful how you answer, the Pharisees are watching...)

I'm guessing this has a lot to do with it:
Unsharp Mask (Amount 150%) (Radius 12 pixels) (Threshold 5 levels)

I did the same thing here, with somewhat more extreme USM settings of 88%/16 dia/TH = 0
