Does anyone know a good place to go to have formal albums constructed? I have a nicely leather bound album from my wedding, but cannot find anywhere on the web to have such a thing produced for my own photographs. I found one place, but it was in Australia. I am looking for a place in the Mid-Atlantic region, that would let you choose page size, and matting layout, than matt and bind the album.
Also -- Is there a Search Function in Forums, and I just don't see it?

I ended up getting my wedding album custom cut in New Zealand. We faxed them the layouts and page design and got it custom cut and sent back to us to assemble with the pictures.

Maybe I was confused about what you meant. The Queensbury albums work out about about $500, without the pictures - you have to get those printed yourself and spend the time to assemble the album.
If you were looking for something that would essentially publish and bind your photos, the Apple iPhoto output is really pretty high quality.

The Queensberry site was very educational! This is about what I was looking for, but no pricing data on pages, kits etc..
$500.00 got you how many pages, photos?
I actually plan on printing the photos myself, so this is an excellent place to start. Thank you. |

Wow. That MyPublisher site looks very affordable. Definitely worth getting an album just to check it out.
Bruce -- Have you gotten an album from them?
Thanks again folks for the info...this is very helpful.

I think roughly 20 pages, so 40 sides, with various numbers of photo mats cut at different orientations. This was a couple of years ago and we worked through a friend who is a pro. I'm not even sure if they will deal with you directly - it would be worth emailing or calling them and finding out their prices and how to go about working with them. We faxed them layouts for the pages and what leather etc we wanted. |

Of course, if you have a Mac, you can do it all through iPhoto. |
