Here is my take, I had no wings of my own to use so I hijacked Drachoo's from Bokeh. Hope he doesn't mind :)

 was bored and played with it some more using contrast masking and warp transform to make wings bigger

Oh gosh, no offending at all! I mean, I'm not goth/emo/anything close... definitely have a *big* yay-cute-happy-bunny-bouncebounce side. But also that other side is in fact present in me. I would maybe say more mythical and brooding than dark, yet that is just semantics. So the point is: The bat wings are AWESOME, thank you so much!!! Dragon wings are cool too, hehe. But the bat wings are neat 'cause somewhere around here are my vampire teeth... ;-D Thank you SO much.. the picture is waaaaay super-cool.

Flower petals make very nice wings too. If you have a photo something like ursula's "summer" photo pick a petal you like and duplicate it then just play with shading and maybe roughen up the edges of the wings.
I won't post my attempt, mainly because I actually did use ursula's photo and I don't have permission. That and my masking was crap! heh.

You mean you didn't purchase the Ken Art's Super Duper All Inclusive Exclusive Rights? If you get that you can manpulate any photo even ones that haven't been shot yet. :P
