yyyyaaaaahooooooooooooooooooooooo.
ok I'll keep my 10D. I remember the excitement when the 10D was about to come out. I could hardly contain myself.
Now we'll hear horror stories of how bad the focus and exposure are on the 300D (from people who have never tried anything else than a point and shoot camera). It's a good thing that DPReview.com dedicated a whole forum section to the 300D.
Exciting times. :) Good luck to all you excited future 300D owners.
Email me if you have any questions.

| Why does it say "list price: 1500, our price: 999"? I thought it was 999 everywhere, and that was the great thing about this camera? Do they just say: "List price: what we would sell it for if we could choose and if everyone else wasn't already selling it for 999"? This is the sub-1000 DSLR, right? What's with the "List price"? |

Sounds like good ol' marketing to me. I'm sure they want people to think that the price could, at anytime, go up to the "list price". They are probably just trying to get people to buy them faster. It's typical.

Got one in my hands, a coworker got it at bestbuy yeserday.
I think it's a very good deal with the lens, even if , apart for the technical diferences that matters or not depending onyour background, it does not give the same strong build feeling as the 10D.
Still it has alost everything and cost 999$ with the 18-55 ( 28-88 35mm equivalent).

Marketing 101. Always make the consumer think they're getting a deal. |
