I hear there was a possible terror plot where the target was the Mackinaw Bridge. They said that the security at the bridge has been increased. I guess that will mean more trouble for photographers trying to take pictures. Just something to keep in mind if you're going to be in that area. |

Yeah based on the fact that three 20 year olds had 1000 cell phones in a van. The world is starting to be a scary place for everyone. I dont think it matters where you go or what you are taking photographs of, soon nothing will be allowed.

THE SAGINAW NEWS

Tuscola County Prosecutor Mark E. Reene has charged three Dallas men with two counts eacg of supporting terrorist acts and surveillance of a vulnerable target. The men, arrested Friday after a clerk at Caro̢۪s
Wal-Mart store alerted police that their purchase of about 80 pre-paid cell phones seemed suspicious.
Reene has yet to confirm what evidence led him to believe the men were targeting the iconic bridge, which links the state̢۪s upper and lower peninsulas.

If you're stopped by anyone for taking shots of The Bridge you should direct them to mackinacbridge.org - the Bridge Authority's site. It has more information than you could possibly hope to obtain from some click-clicks taken from the shore or passing boat.
