I would have to say that I liked my picture the best. It should have won. The border was not illegal like someone stated in the comments. It has been done many times.
When you look at this shot..don't you think of the good old days when you used to swing on the tires in your backyard or wish you had a tire and tree so you could swing on one. I worked very hard on this shot and well...this is just my oppinion. I am not writing this to hurt anyones feelings.

I feel all nostalgic now. The picture meets the challenge!

oh but it is! clearly the tires represent the passing of an era: it is alone, abandoned. the kids have grown and flown the nest, leaving a sense of emptiness, not unlike the hollowness one feels after drinking a coke on an empty stomach. |

Yeah, that's the thing with nostalgia. Even if it means the world to you, it may not bring up any emotions for someone else.
No tire here either. We had a tree, but the neighbor would yell at me for playing in it, cause supposidly it was on his property. One winter it fell on our roof.
Lucky for him he'd move out, or else I would have been like "hey, get your tree off our roof." |

That's another thread that's made me laugh so much I snorted coffee. This is not good for my nasal passages you know!
But it IS a nice "pitcher"! |
