Kind of what to attend the Scottish Highland Gathering & Games here in September, but wondering what one would expect photography wise. Photographic examples of events like this would be helpful if anyone has them.

Local renaissance faire is the week before, so I can practice candids before the Scottish gathering.

probably a lot of stuff like this (courtesy of longfist)

i haven't had the pleasure of going to one, yet, but i would imagine it would be an absolute shootfest. lots of interesting people, events, and things (especially foods), that you don't see every day.

by all means GO, and SHOOT IT UP!!!!

I took those a couple years ago at the game in Portland, Oregon. It was a fun place to take pictures. I would've had more if I'd been able to spend more than an hour there. Or if I wasn't so shy about getting up close to people and events I'm not really a part of.

But yeah, fun. I'd love to see the shots you take!
