This program has worked ever since I purchased my camera a year ago. But since I restored my computer and reinstalled all software it don't work. Here are the messages I get.

Then I go to more information and this is what I get

Then if I click on the bottom link I get sent to this Site by microsoft.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get it working?
Thanks
SDW

Did you completely uninstall DPP? The re-install might not have been complete because your bottom message is referencing a .dll

Anyway you can uninstall DPP, re-boot, then install from disk?

Have you tried reinstalling it again? Maybe there was a hiccup on the first install and something got corrupted?

I also found this link:

I'd try sending a report to microsoft when asked. It actually can be helpful at times - but the problem seems to be the viewer. You could try downloading or using another viewer. DPP does need certain programs and software to work - may be missing. You could upgrading DPP. It's up to Version 2.1.1 now.
Sometimes just re-installing the program might fixit. Hope this is helpful. Goodluck. Lyta

What about downloading the latest version from the website. As Lyta said, they're on 2.1 now. The key is getting that "missing" viewer.dll.

I just installed DPP on my machine and I seem to recall that you have to have 1 of several "base" programs installed already when you install DPP, once of which was EOS Viewer Utility. Once DPP is installed, you can then remove the "base" program. I don't know why this is, but it seems to be the way.

Do you have one of the "base" programs loaded? Maybe that's generating the error, if you don't.

I hope this made sense.
