If someone is willing to set up the fund, I will donate any and all profits from my prints for a reward for information from now until Steve is found.

I think he must have accidentally clicked the "Report Post" button which is right next to the "Quote" button. I've done it several times myself...

i stuck the same announcement on Steve's guestbook for his pbase account..and have put the address to the myspace page on my msn messenger and yahoo messenger...

Hey, I may have a lead on the Barbara/Korensa thing. Would someone from the family or Tina/Daryl please contact me through PM. I was given a phone number to call from the billiards place regarding those two names.

Edit: I just tried to PM most of you...Tina, Daryl, WonderBread, 2xmomma, securitymonster, afrey...

Hoping someone gets the PM soon so they can call tonight or tomorrow morning. Please post here if you are going to make the call so the others don't all call too.

Oh shit..... :( I just noticed the link on the main page (been away for a while), and saw the news report on the Myspace link here.

I have goose pimples right now just thinking about this and watching the clip. We "talked" once in a while through the IM, and I could always tell his pics during challenges guessing it was his entries just from great desert images he took. I pray to God he somehow turns up OK.

My prayers go out to Steve and his family, and I will pray for a miracle that he is found.

I think we are over looking something. I don't know what but maybe we need to go back to the time-line and ask a few questions to see if it will help us out here. Maybe we missed something. All the questions I am about to ask are not to offend anyone but maybe it will bring to light something we may have overlooked.

Steve was not home Sunday the 23rd about 7pm Arizona time because we were there. I shut the power off to his house, to log him off Yahoo messenger so we could see if he looged back on. He has not logged back into messenger as of today.

Did you have access to the inside of his home when you cut power to see if he had taken items that would indicate a long trip?

Monday (24th) the fire dept broke into his house and he was not in the house and his car was gone. They noticed a bug bomb had been let off, which would explain being gone for a few days.

He's got to come home sometime. Let's all hope today is that day. Maybe if we use our collective power of positive thought and all just put that "Steve, come home. You're family needs you" vibe out there it will get to him and he'll hightail it home. :) My thoughts go out to Steve and all his family and friends.

You are right, he has to come home sometimes and I hope it's today. I have been praying since this thread began for his safe return. An as you stated we all are going to have to have positive thoughts, energy, prayers, etc. that he will return home safe and soon. But at the same time we cannot let our vigilance down at trying to find him even if that is asking tough questions especially at a time like this. It's going to take 110% of our collective minds, energy, thoughts, questions, and looking to find him. For all we know he could be relying on our help and the more questions we ask an pressure put on the officials could make a difference in how quick he is returned home SAFE and WELL.

Grasping at straws... the last pictures uploaded to his pbase account were of a wedding on a beach somewhere. They were uploaded on July 16. I know they all say they were shot on May 13, but is there any way to find out from those folks where it was and if maybe he mentioned liking the place or wanting to go there for an extended vacation? I dunno. I am just worried sick about him. I suppose we can assume he was home to upload the images on July 16.

I can answer most of those questions...
he had no contact by phone since before the 15th with anyone.
According to police, neighbors said they saw him on the 22nd and 23rd. Right now we can only believe what we heard but its not 100% that this info is correct.
Tina and daryl were at his place on the 23rd and tripped the power. They did not go in.
The police also went by there on the 23rd.
On Monday the 24th the place was entered by the fire department. I guess the only way to enter is to break in. They only check to see if there is a person inside, they dont check contents of the apt.
Last IM was with me, on the 20th. It was very early in the am his time and sounded like a goodbye message.
I was in contact up until that time and there was no indication of a trip. He had never gone anywhere for more than a day without me knowing. He did say something about photographing in the desert recently.
As far as other questions...his son wanted to wait to check his apartment and file proper paperwork until he got to Arizona which occurred the following Monday.

that wedding was his younger son's in Oregon in May that he attended.

I don't know if they volunteer for searches like this, but if they don't, it couldn't hurt to contact them and ask them to keep an eye out if they run any training missions.

Just a thought...


I just didn't want this to get lost in the sea of questions surrounding the PayPal/charity/money thing. :)
I checked the CAP web site and it says on their home page that they do indeed do "search and rescue", so this might be an avenue to pursue...

just something i thought when i read this:
has anyone thought to check places that would be close to his heart?
such as a place that has special meaning to him, like somehwere him and his son loved to go to together(fishing spot maybe), or a childhood favorite place(like where he grew up). maybe a place where him and orions mother met,married,or a place that the two of them loved to get away to be alone....just thinking out loud here. hopeing maybe this will help somehow.

I recall thinking it was odd and out of place. I went to bed and woke up to a message that said something like ' take care of yourself'. That isnt the exact message. I didnt save it and dont remember it word for word. But I did write back asking why he wrote that at an odd time like 2am his time. There was no answer. The next day I still didnt hear from him. By Sunday I called him and got his voice mail and then got in contact with Orion and told Orion to talk to Tina and Daryl.
