THANK YOU. They were all very appreciated and I wanted to say that although now that I am a card carrying member of the 7+ no ribbon club I couldn't be happier with my score. Especially since with this entry I raised my overall average to the coveted 6+ average and to celebrate I am going to give a comment to all the commenters of my entry during the challenge. If you want you can post an image here that you would like a comment/critique on or if I don't get a message or people miss this thread I will comment on your most recent challenge entry. I'll start commenting in a day or so that if people want you can pick a photo. Thanks again everybody. Oh and to the 11 people who gave me 1 or 2, ummm, I disagree but if you would explain what was so awful about it, I'm curious and I'll give you a comment too.

Thanks I forgot to add that after gold scores are posted I am defitinely not going to have a 6+ average so I should celebrate now. Lol.

cool joe! like i mentioned in my comment, "welcome to the "i scored a 7+ and didn't get a ribbon club"! great job hanging on that 6+ score.

i am gunning for the elusive 6+ average myself and it has taken me a long time. only a few more 7+ scores and i'll get there soon. my goal is before the end of the year ;)

I noticed you got the most 1s and 2s out of those that scored over 7. Maybe take that as a compliment as perhaps some people thought you were the biggest threat? In any case, I thought yours should have been the blue winner hands down and would have been if you had gotten the same amount of 1s and 2s that the rest of the top 5 got but I'm guessing you already know that? :P

Yeah I noticed that too, I thought that spike of 9 2s were little trolls trying to get around the voting scrubber machine that looks for consistent one voters, but actually my score went down over .04 during rollover, and I lost about 35 votes. I'll take it as a compliment and now I can sport this exclusive gif that I made in my signature, Lol, sometimes my idiocy astonishes me.

Frankly, the fact that you have ribbons should exclude you from the "7+ no ribbon club".

It should be reserved for that loveable bunch that have a 7+ score and no ribbons EVER!

congrats on joining our elite club (until recently, I held a priviledge of having all my 7+ photos without ribbons)! And good luck holding on to the 6+ average. i am moving slowly in that direction, but it will take me a while.

7.003 - I barely made it!

All of the winners and top pics were great - I, for one, am very happy to have placed so hiogh against such stiff competition.

I always thought it was for images that scored 7+ and did not ribbon. I consider myself to be a 2-time member of this club :-)

It's hard to feel sorry for multiple ribbon winners who happen to have a 7+ score that didn't ribbon, Mr. Bear "beat me by 6/1000 of a point in Environmental Portrait" Music!

my theory is that yr 1,2,3 votes are people who didn't think it looked enough like a beach. you know, sand, bikinis, etc. Ignore them.

Then I gave it another 2.
And then another.
Finally I gave it a final 1.
So, in the end, I ended up giving you a 7.

I FINALLY finished all my comments for those who gave me a comment during the challenge. It took alot longer then I thought it would but it was an interesting way to really see who is giving you comments and what there work is like. Especially since alot of them were in the beach challenge also. I highly recommend doing the same atleast once after a challenge. Thanks again everyone, if you left me a comment on my entry from the beach challenge then go look, if I missed you let me know and I will go leave one.
