Which would you choose...or have you? I do have a Pbase account but am hearing alot about SmugMug...what's the hype...is it better...what does it offer that I don't have? Also...I have quite a bit of photos on Pbase...it is going to be a huge hassle making the switch if I do...so make it convincing.

I'm not sure about Pbase, but I have the pro account at Smugmug and I love it. You can customize up the wazoo - limited only by your imagination. Customer service is phenomenal, can't say enough good things about it. Unlimited storage, ability to privatize and/or password protect galleries, I could go on and on.

Is there anything about P-base that bugs you?

unlimited upload capacity :D

I use it as my retail site and my archive at the same time.

Edit - I have THOUSANDS of images hidden from public view just for archive purposes. At any time I can order DVD back-ups from them, so I'll never suffer catastrophic loss when a puter crashes... AGAIN.

OK...so I chose SmugMug... //www.DefyTime.smugmug.com

Now I have to try and figure out all this editing stuff.

Also it says unlimited photos but not bandwidth...so does that mean if too many people look at my stuff in a month they will shut my site down until next month?

No, but they say (somewhere in the help threads) that if you expect large bandwidth usage (there are a few celebs using SM sites) to contact them so they can make adjustments.

I'm glad D&L got rid of that Thread-Killer stat. I'm like a serial thread-killer. Maybe everyone just hates me. :-(

I just took a look and it seems like a pretty sweet deal. I'm also interested to know if anyone's heard of it or even using it.
