Starting with the "Oops!" Challenge I decided to expose what I voted and why.

I will publish the vote I assigned to the ribbon winners (of course, before knowing that they were actually going to win) and I will indicate the most underrated pictures in my views.

BLUE RIBBON: Still Life Gone Wrong
MY VOTE: 4
COMMENT:
Technically close to perfection, I just didn't see any oops in it and I concluded that, basically, it did not fit the challenge.

RED RIBBON: Honey! I can explain!!!
MY VOTE: 9
COMMENT:
I added it to my favourites. I believe it could have achieved a much better average if not targeted by trolls. (The voting breakdown shows it quite clearly).

YELLOW RIBBON: The Morning After
MY VOTE: 7
COMMENT:
Subtle irony and a very good shot. Another shot which fits the challenge in a delicious way. After reviewing it, I tought I should have given it an 8.

MOST UNDERRATED PICTURE: Balancing Movement
MY VOTE: 8
COMMENT:
Excellent composition, good lightining, fantastic shadow, great oops factor. If not a ribbon, it should have ended much higher than 67th place.

The first two shots were my two top picks for the week. That doesn't happen too oftern. I truely loved Still Live Gone Wrong. I found it truly funny and a bit absurd (in a good way). Great shot guys.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Death Grip (scored it 9), again because it is absurd. I would have given it a 10 if I would've known that it was not a set-up. Now that's an Oops.

Too bad ppl didnt get what I was trying to say with my submission to the oops challenge wich was kind of a sequal to my Tool submission:/.

Well Great minds are often hard to understand:p

I like that lately people are posting the shots they thought have been overlooked or think are very well done, I think often in the week there are more than 3 shots worth noting and I think is great for the rest of the folks to get some acknowldegement, so thanks glimpses and zeuszen and others for your time and thoughts and efforts.

I personally didn't "get it" simply because there is no connection between anonymously submitted photos in separate challenges. After the fact, I do remember the knife photo from the tools challenge as one of the better ones. But that simply didn't come to mind while viewing the Oops photos.

Now that I understand your intent, I can anticipate your entry to the next challenge: "LIFE in prison"!

I'm glad you picked up on this, glimpses. How it ended up here, beats me too. An easily lovable photo it is, at that. I speculate, the oops! was not loud enough for most ears...

I got it, well, except for the "sequel" part. While it was close enough that I let it slide as far as "meets the challenge", getting arrested for a crime just doesn't quite fit the category of "oops" for me, at least to a degree that made it a winner for me. "Oops" to me was a light-hearted topic, and the humorous shots worked better for me. It was a good photograph though. I gave it a 6.
