just trying a new technique I found. this was my first attempt.

Pretty cool but I think a different background would work better.
What I like most is the effect on the original image to make it look like an aged polaroid.
How did you achieve that effect?

edit to add:
The polaroid white borders look too fake.
Maybe a scan of an actual polaroid would work better here or work done to roughen it up a bit.

yeah, the background is supposed to resemble a cork board. not sure if it does though. probably a beveled border of some kind like a real cork board would have would help. On the original, that is just some curves techniques I learned to give it an urban acid effect and then a textured layer overlay for the grunge look.

I like your idea. I would agree that the whites of the polaroid are too white and clean. Your initial processing of the photo was nice too. The only part that isn't working for me though is the background... it seems to overpower the polaroids to me.

Cool Idea though!

Gotta agree with the other posters, the corkboard isn't corky enough, and the white of the polaroids is too clean. That said, the photo parts of the polaroids look great, and the overall concept is both cool, and looks like a lot of fun!
