Hi everyone, long time no see. I've been away from the forums for a long time now good to be back, but anyway, at my school i started a photo class and i really like it. I was wondering if anyone know of a good, nondigital camera not too expensive, but i don't want it automatic, thanks a lot! and i know this is a DP site, but i'd thought i'd ask anyway. =) |

I would look on ebay for older SLR cameras. They are fully manual and are still good cameras. I have a Minolta SRT101 that is 30 years old and still works like it did when I bought it new.

I started out playing around with my Dad's old 35mm SLR's, and let me tell you, they were fantastic. They took incredible quality photo's, and were also rugged, and therefore were impossoble to break, unlike many of the camera's you can buy today.
He had two camera's an Olympus Om-1 and Om-2n. The Om-1 was only manual, while the Om-2n was both manual and automatic. The Om-2n was fantastic, and I still use it today for some things. I know that you can find them for pretty cheap nowadays, as well as the original Zuiko lenses that they used. I would definetly suggesting finding one, and using it, as it provides a cheap, top-quality source to learn on!
