How come the 2nd and 3rd place entries don't have any exposure info? No ISO, no ap and no shutter speed? I thought these were mandatory to enter the challenge and all the other ribbon winners on the hoime page have this info.

What's up?

Its recommended, but not required. The original that would have been sent for validation purposes contain that info in the EXIF data.

What caught my eye was 2nd place - the people in the FG are sharp and the firework looks like 1/4 second exposure or somthing similar - not sure, as well, that info isn't there. Was wonderiing what it was to get both sharp and long, and probably handheld too.

Ya, that's too bad. That shot was pretty good no matter who it was who took it. Like a Rose, a good shot is a good shot.

Considering they weren't DQ'd.... and if it's still under review we'll find out later.

This particular one seems to be that one person was posting to multiple accounts. What was the other account?

pm the photographer and ask

I like quite a few of his photos. But that account is gone now, so I'm wondering what his other one is, and if that is still active, and if he will move his portfolio there?

And how did the indiscretion get picked up? Did he have other photos entered in the same challenge?

All these questions... Maestro - where are you for the answers?!

Looks to me like the people just happened to be holding their heads fairly still to watch the firework. You can see a very blurry something just down & in front of the man with the cap. Someone or something moving. His hand clapping? A head in a row just below?

...and that brings up another question. What is the sound of one hand clapping? Oh, so many mysteries! :-O

the real question is if there is one hand clapping in the wodds while a tree falls with nobody around, does it still make a sound?

If a man is talking in the woods, and there are no women to hear him. Is he still wrong?

Does it matter? :)

So uhhh, how about if the man is clapping one hand quietly, minding his own business, and a tree falls in the woods and kills him because he never heard it....

Do women still think HE is wrong?
