My wife gave me this funny article to read this morning about digital photograhy addiction. I hope she wasn't trying to tell me something ;D

What a hoot! Thanks for sharing. I sometimes wonder how those DPCers with a life manage all the time it takes to shoot and prepare photos for the various challenges here (and elsewhere). Guess I'd better stay single. At least my dogs don't complain or get jealous.

Thanks Kollin I liked that. But I don´t think I will show it to my wife. On the other hand I´m sure I´m not like that (I´m probably worse). I haven´t tried shooting in the cinema or theatre though - yet. |

Haw Haw Haw! ROTFL.
That should be converted into one of those tests, you know, if you answer "yes" to more than three of these questions YOU may be a digital photography addict.
I would answer them all "yes".
Except for movie theaters. I never go to movies, it takes away from shooting photos.

This is funny. I'm sure (if I showed it to him) my husband would REALLY relate.
Even my 4 your old grandson can relate. He was showing me his new scooter today and I asked him if I could take pictures while he rode it. He said "you can take pictures for two minutes, Grammy, and then you have to put the camera it away". A few minutes later he told me my two minutes were up. I turned off the camera but continued to hold it in my hand. he wisely stated "no, you have to put it over there on the porch" heh .. he knows me

Haha these stories are great. Of course on the 4th of July I was trying to get the perfect firework shots... my boyfriend finally said "put that thing down and enjoy the holiday!!" |

the funniest part of the article to me, and the part i related to most, was"
'I never knew when I might be blinded by a flash.
"No, dear, I wasn't shooting you, it was the exquisite texture of the drops against the porcelain in the shower stall that caught my eye."
Leaving the house, he'd catch the reflection on the doorknob.
Click.
"Oh, that leaf. The inherent beauty, the absolute perfection."
Click.
"Wait, don't get in the car yet. The juxtaposition of the antenna against the garage door -- it's fantastic."
Click. '
That's me to a 'T'!!

I totally related to the article! 100%. When you photograph, you start to see beauty in so many things -- and you want to capture it all. I am constantly holding my camera and the few times I part with it, I always have regrets I didn't take it with me!
The other day, I was observing the morning light with my husband on the back patio without my camera, when I said to him, "Damn...understanding more about light and how it affects photography, I see things differently now. I can't sit here and enjoy the garden the same again. Look, look! It is over-exposed! I wish I could the sun down a bit! Everything is washed out."
I'll never see the world the same again...LOL

I sent a copy to my husband. He will get a kick out of it. Course he is the one who gets to carry the camera backpack and the tripod. I do however encourage him to take the camera whenever he thinks he sees a shot.
