My Sudanese friend Isaac Majak has made it to the semifinals of the Popular Photography College photo contest. Please goHERE and enter your vote for Isaac at Ben Franklin Institute of Technology (or for another photo if you like it better).
I'm also wondering if any of the DPC community is in the contest since we heard about it in the forums in the first place. Which weeK? I'll vote for you too.

His is the girl carrying straw on her head. Isaac is one of the Lost Boys of Sudan living in Boston. Last November he returned to the village where he was born. He met this little girl, a cousin, who was taking straw to school as her tuition payment.
He asked her "Why are you taking the grass to school?" She answered "I give it to my teacher so she will teach me." He asked her "Why do you want to go to school and she said "I want to learn to fly airplanes."

Thank you all - Seems to be a popularity contest at this stage - First a bunch of judges pick the best ten from each week, then friends and relatives vote for the best of the ten. Then a final round by the judges for the best of best. This kid is just soo excited to be getting votes.
