OK. So this pic was shot in RAW format. Obviously there was better light on the right than the left. Is there anyway to even it out some? I tried dodging on the left, but it looked too washed out. And it didn't really match the right side. Sooooo.... can it be done?

| possibly burn the right side, or create a neutral density filter to darken the right while doing little/nothign to the left and make it have an even transition. |

- duplicate the layer
- add a layer mask
- in Channels pallet select only the layer mask just added
- select the gradient tool
- drag from left to right, or right to left, either one.
- if the gradient isn't white on the left and black on the right, ctrl-I to invert it.
- select RGB again (and deselect layer mask)
- in Layers pallet, select duplicate layer
- change blending mode to screen
- adjust opacity to taste.
