I was looking through the flower entries, and was disappointed to see the following finishing so poorly:

: Killer great shot IMO, a totally different POV, mystical and evocative, flower-as-landscape

: I found this one to be quite ephemeral and lovely, nice and understated but a tangible glow to it.

: I was really disappointed in the very low finish of this completely different shot. I love the way the title ties the concept together. This is a shot that tells a little story, and I think it's very well done and thought-provoking in a nice way.

: I'm not surprised this scored low, given the DPC mindset, but I think it is a wonderful, funky piece of conceptual art that deserved better. Image and title work together nicely to tell a strange, even morbid, tale.

So good on you four! Who else can point out some underrated flowers (in their own opinion of course)?

was one of my 10's. A lovely shot IMO.

I scored those 7, 8, 7, 5. In hindsight I think the last one should have been a 6 (from me). And a 6 only because to me it didn't have the same impact as the two 7s (or any of my other numerous 7s) shown here.

I added this shot to my favorites, and gave it a 10 also. Definitely underrated as far as I am concerned!

...found something magical about this one and was very surprised to find it near the bottom.

That's a 6th place image, so "underrated" hardly applies :-) Why the handful of low votes? Some people just do not like "soft" images...

Yeah... cool image, but your score was pretty good too (your personal best!). Well done.

I'd kill for that score. But if doctornick can post a TOP TEN Picture as being underrated, then I suppose anything goes.

Here are few that I think should have scored higher. There are many others...

As I said, there are many others.

On the other hand, I think this one caught a bit of luck...

I gave that one a 7; liked it very much. Just didn't finish low enough to qualify for my "WTF?" list...

I forgot that I was going to mention this one as well. I was very surprised that this didn't get a ribbon, or at least into the top ten.

Of those not already mentioned, these were my favorites:

And thanks to KarenNfld and micknewton for appreciating my sunflower :D

Thanks, KarenNFld! This was my first challenge as a member and really appreciated all the comments. I know of several ways I could improve on this shot, although I do wish it had maintained a 6 (just barely missed it!

I also loved these:
