How can I get the hot spot off of her forehead? I played around with Levels and Curves, But I could not make it go away. Clone tool?

You could always clone in the skin and hair from other parts of her face/head. That's one way, anyway. ;)
If you shoot in RAW, you can sometimes bring minor hot spots back into submission but not always. Something to think about for future reference, anyway. When you shoot in jpg, if it's blown out, there's not much that can be done to rescue it (short of cloning and that sort of thing, anyway.)

For the future: Fill flash or a reflector could help even out the lighting on the rest of her face so that the highlights aren't so far out (exposure wise) compared to the rest.
On the other hand, I really don't find the highlights here all that annoying. I mean ... when you're out in the sun, you expect there to be blown highlights. I don't think I'd bother with the cloning bit - leave it the way it is.

Do you like the crop? I am trying to learn how to crop photos better. Lauriel cropped a photo for me and I loved it! |
