That's a nice shot, very colorfull on the bee, esp. the wings.
Although it isn't nearly as "experimental" as some of the images in the thread, it would be hard to argue that it isn't "digital art". My (VERY basic and VERY humble) defination of "Digital Art" is simply an image that has been manipulated by digital means, in order to better convey emotion, tell a story, purposly point a feature out to the viewer, etc, etc. I could go on and on... but I won't :)

I really like this. It's some old boot that washed up on a beach at Lake Eerie we go to sometimes. The sky was very flat, so I added the clouds in the distance from a collection of cloud shots I'm building just for this kind of thing. The "lines" over the water with the green splotches are a photograph of a filthy plexiglass window at a provincial park near my home. I thought the lines matched the reflectivity of the beach and water, and they blended well. Some burning at the edges and sharpening, and that's my idea of digital art. I personally am in love with this photograph; others are underwhelmed by such images, but strange as it may sound, this type of image is the reason I take pictures at all. |

i'm confuzzled...did you post the wrong picture for this thread? |
I would imagine the original was much cleaner and less contrasty looking... definately fits in here if you ask me :). I know you didn't though, lol. |
thanks for chiming in for me mike, yes. the other's clean... the details are subtle, but they're there. :)
